CHANEL Spring/Summer 2012 | Paris Fashion Week
What is air?! Currently choking over Karl Lagerfeld’s latest work! The CHANEL S/S 2012 show has to rank as the best quality show (with a live performance by Florence Welche of Florence + the Machine) of all of Paris Fashion Week 2012. The show was an ocean of delights. Props to Karl for not falling back on the overdone modern day mermaid references). Offsetting light, nearly iridescent colors, ruffles, and a tad big of play with transparency were all apart of the collection this year. CHANEL get’s a AAA+!
Karl Lagerfeld, I love you.

Backstage at Alexander McQueen. It’s hard to look at this much prettiness for too long, we know.
There’s something about red.

PACO RABANNE IS BACK!!! It has been since 2006 since this brand has presented us a show, but I am so glad they are back and with an AMAZING collection!!!
This Paco Rabanne Spring 2012 collection is another “OMG!!! I LOVE EVERY PIECE!!!” collection for me!!! I love the feminine, hourglass silhouettes that Manish Arora delivered. I am so in love with this collection’s textures and extremes…This is what fashion is all about. The hair definitely contributed to give that futuristic, strong look.
Even though I loved EVERY piece…these are my top 10 favs:
I love the futuristic edge this adds to all the femininity associated with Spring. Then at the same time, I don’t like this at all because it’s not sticking to what Spring is all about.

I don’t understand what this skirt trend is that’s happening in menswear. Are we looking to the Scottish heritage? Because we really shouldn’t.
And then there’s the whole, bull nose ring going on. Spanish influence now?
So we have Scotch and Spanish influences at Paris Fashion Week. Can we straighten that out please? One or the other.
